10 things I hate about L.A

I lived for 9 years in L.A. My husband was born and raised there (yes I know, there are a few natives!). We moved to Canada to raise our children in a “normal” environment. Last week we went for a visit there to see his parents… Here’s what I don’t miss (not in a specific order):

1. The fact that, in full economic recession, while stores as big as Borders or as small as a lot of boutique shops are closing, people still find ways to drive Mercedes and Porsches.

2. These cars are ALL clean! Very clean! So not only do they find ways of buying them, but they clean them every 5 minutes! When do they work or raise their kids???

3. People still seem to be very worried about their appearances. Which as an arrogant french makes me laugh because their sense of fashion is ridiculous and uniform!

4. The smell. Too much pollution to breath.

5. Spending so much time in a car is overrated!

6. People in their mid to late 30’s still thinking they are going to “make it”…

7. Earthquakes.

8. El Nino. I hate the rain, I’d rather it snowed!

9. Plastic surgery and poodles.

10. Expensive to live.

There, I said it, though there are a few points missing, but I wouldn’t want to offend anyone…. Ahum!
